May 1st Roundup

It’s been a busy few weeks up until now rehearsing for the Oxo Cubans ‘ Sunday Session’ in Mosgiel and the ‘Concert for a Playground’ fundraiser in Tapanui the night before. Both shows were last weekend April 21st/22nd. With the excellent guitar maestro, Chet O’Connell and the wonderful singer/songwriter Jeff Rea on board, it was a musical highlight for me. Chet and the Oxo’s blasting our way through some classic Shadows hits and Jeff with his fine voice and choice of quality original and country songs, delighted the crowds at both gigs. Thanks to everyone involved but especially Oxos bass player, Craig Reeves, who does soooooo much work behind the scenes to make these shows happen. Thanks so much Craig!
